MarSea partner referral cookies
When you accept marketing cookies, AffiliateWP can remember the partner whose booking link or QR code you used. The first-party cookies affwp_ref, affwp_ref_visit_id and, when applicable, affwp_campaign store the referring partner, a visit identifier and a campaign label. These referral cookies last 15 days. They help attribute eligible bookings and do not change your tour price.
Declining optional cookies does not prevent you requesting a tour, but the booking may not be attributed automatically to a partner. A booking request is reviewed separately by our customer-service team. Accepting cookies does not subscribe you to a newsletter.
Analytics and security
Google Analytics is delivered through Google Tag Manager only after analytics consent. It may use _ga and _ga_* cookies to distinguish visits and measure site usage; their lifetime depends on the Analytics property configuration. Google services may process data outside Costa Rica. Security tools, including reCAPTCHA where used in forms, help protect requested services from automated abuse.
WordPress sign-in cookies, booking security/session features and the cmplz_* preference cookies serve essential purposes. Cookie settings lets you withdraw optional consent. You can also remove existing cookies in your browser; this may sign you out or reset your preferences. Cookie duration and providers
Consent preferences: Complianz stores essential cmplz_* preference cookies for up to 180 days, so we remember your choice. We may ask again when our cookie practices change.
Partner attribution: MarSea Tours uses AffiliateWP first-party referral identifiers for 15 days after accepted partner tracking. These identify the referring partner and visit, rather than showing your private contact information to a seller.
Analytics: Google documents a default lifetime of two years for its GA4 cookies; the property’s configured expiry and browser limits can shorten or change this. See Google’s cookie documentation and Google’s Privacy Policy. These cookies are optional on this site.
Sign-in and requested services: WordPress authentication and booking/security cookies last for the relevant session or configured account/service duration. They support the service you request and are separate from analytics and referral cookies.
Change or withdraw your choice
Select Cookie settings in the footer. Choose Preferences to turn Analytics and Marketing (partner tracking) on or off independently, then Save preferences. Reject optional turns both off. Essential cookies remain active. Withdrawal stops future optional tracking; it does not undo processing already completed. Our controls remove the optional first-party referral and Google Analytics identifiers covered by this setup when you withdraw their category.
Your browser and privacy rights
You can also delete or block cookies through your browser. Blocking all cookies can affect sign-in or requested booking features; rejecting only optional categories does not prevent a tour request. We respect supported Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals through the consent manager. For access, correction, deletion or other applicable data rights, see our Privacy Statement. You may also contact the relevant data-protection authority, including PRODHAB in Costa Rica.
